I tried my best to make it work,
But all you do is feed me hurt,
My friends told me to leave you alone,
But I can’t seem to stop picking up the phone,
Every time you call,
I seem to fall,
Back into the same old mess,
Allowing myself to digress,
Instead of making progress,
Of getting you out of my mind,
But I continue to stay blind,
While you keep giving me your behind to kiss,
Oh ~ why am I having problems wanting to dismiss,
All thoughts of you ~ you fool,
Because we can never be cool,
You want to see me on your terms,
But I am going to be firm,
I’ll never give you that power,
So you can devour,
The little bit of strength I have left,
I refuse to let,
You make me regret,
What I would do,
When I continue to see you,
Whenever you want me TO!!!!!
