Photographs
She took off like a soaring dove
She still is my first and only love
If only history could be rewritten and memories could be altered
Then maybe our love would have never faltered
She brought me so much pain yet so much joy
Someone I could please, someone I could annoy
The path was paved for the greatest love story of all time
Until another could say: "she is mine"
Her love was like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode
The love I felt was trapped in my heart, waiting implode
We went our seperate ways, destiny's unfullfillment
I don't even have photographs to savour the moment
I never had so much love pulsing through my heart
There was too much of it, that's what tore us apart
Our love story makes me cry, makes me laugh
A painted and tainted photograph
In each other's eyes we used to stare
Now I see you in my sweetest dream and my worst nightmare
If we never meet again, that would be a shame
Photographs are memories, but I have an empty frame
Something I wrote a few years ago. Inspired by my first experience of falling hard for a girl, she turned out to be everything that I thought she was not.
