I'm twisted, sick, upset within,
Always unwilling to face the truth.
Reality nags at me like an unsatisfied wife,
Meanwhile I try not to face my reflection.

I know what I'd see, it's apparent,

Changes into moments past,
What I felt pure and sublime,
Becomes 'why didn't it last?'

All I am is perfect and beautiful,
You say it and I know it's lies,

Leading to open anger and impetuous movements.
Venomous words, a knife to the throat.
A battle cry; death.
