D.I. Motivation

As I began to lose hope and almost gave up on myself
And my eyes became clouded with misty tears making my path unclear,
You took my hand and guided me towards the right track
Giving me the strength I needed to regain my confidence back

In a time when my weakened mind refused to train
And my faith began slipping away from my sweaty gasp,
You spoke with infinite words of wisdom easing my troubled mind
Reminding me it's the amount of heart put into mission accomplishment and not the length of time

When my soul became a synonym for pain
And my eyes were rivers of heartbroken tears
You taught me to look past my gray sky and make it a sky of blue
Letting me know that no matter how much it hurts if I believe in myself I can make it through

In a time when I lose focus on what's important
And my dreams cease to be mine
You revived my broken and decaying spirit
And made it brand new
For that there will never be enough words to express my gratitude to you

When I lost sight of my purpose
And life's stumbling blocks crowded my way
It was you, my motivator, who led me through Hell's fire
And it is your dedication, discipline, and courage I hope to someday acquire

For there are no gestures or words profound enough to describe you
No songs or symbols deep enough to represent you
Because you are truly an inspiration
And it is your wisdom and teachings that will continue to guide me until my life ends
