Emerald Eyes
I laid baking in the sun
Wings broken and disfigured
My heart gave out, plummeted head first
Splinters and broken glass
Such delightful, excruciating, hurt
So suddenly it occurred
Caught glimpse of the sea
Beautiful, awestruck by emerald green
Dancing forth within me
Savage affection
Ravaging each other, vile yet picturesque
Glowing and gleaming, these sparks illuminate our cave
Only for you, the forest glows red
Bystanders so jealous, locked away admiration
This work of art, so vivid and profound
Blinding those skeptical, trembling, whimpering
Morning light sends us back to shadows
Surrounding ourselves with the faint reminders
Bring vivid dreams, that hold us tight
