Memories At Foster Care

The steel door
Starying back at you
Your only choice
Is to go in
I push the door open
Entering the stuffy halls
The floors creak after each step
T hear her harsh deep voice "This is your bunk"
She points to one of the old
Rusted
Beds
I put my stuff on it and sit
"Dinner is at seven, you have three meals a day"
"Lunch is at 12 and breakfast is at 6"
"You will make up your bed and do chores every day or face consequences"
Then she turned and left
I lay down on the hard bed
It squeks
Its hard as a rock
The sheets rough against my skin
The bell rings for dinner
I get up and follow the girls to the lunch room
We wait in line
Holding the foam trays
Walking slowly
The lady puts down a slop of food on my tray
I walk to the table
I push it away
I cant eat
The admin saw that and said "Come with me Miss kessel"
I came with her
She put a crate down on the floor
In the middle of the lunch room
She said
"Take off your shirt"
I did
She told me "lay on your belly"
My cool skin feeling the rough crate
She sais "You wasted $5 worth of food"
She takes out the wipe
ONE she yells
Hitting me hard
Slowly slicing open my skin
Burning
TWO she yells
She takes her time between them
THREE she yells
The pain is unberable
Tears start to fall
FOUR she yells
I try not to brake down
I hate this
FIVE she yells
"Next time dont waist food you cunt"
She kicked me and said "Go to your room!"
I walked to my room
Blood going down my bacck
Leaving a trail
I lay down on my hard caught
The hard sheets scraping my cuts
Not caring about the pain
And
Slowly
Crying myself
To sleep
