Mocha Flower

The heart of the block stops.. dead
Mocha flower, bursts through the cracks
Aroma to paralyze, illusions leaving their skulls empty
Envious angry wasps, they swarm and gossip
Slow motion, down the sidewalk
Piercing through my chest cavity
Lovestruck, shell shocked
Beaten then left blue
Hypnotic motions done in the dark
Best left under shadowy curtain
Pinning me, stuck in place
Heat so unbearable, I collapse into fragments
Smooth ebony, eyes coffee brown
Shinning bright behind slick frame
Perspiration, perspiration
The heart of block kicks
Pause, eyes watchful, observation
A shoulder to mine, gaze averted
I fall against the pavement
Left behind exhaust pipes
Mud slung to my name
The heart of block explodes
Blinded by a sea grins, omnipresent laughter
On to the next one, phrases backhanded
Cheers to flashy robes, golden thrones
Clean and well assembled
They dance their way through concrete jungle
My chest out, marching to off beat
