My Birthday was a mess

My Birthday was a mess,
Too many claimed I was this or that,
Too many called my husband, an cried.
But so did I.
I am Muslim a Faith I choose not to give up,
I fell in Love with the Quran, despite there efforts,
I am what I am.
I am back cause I love to write,
I am back cause this is where I belong,
Although not allowed to wear the veil,
In that area still a fight.
One I am willing to succeed in with all my might,
Whether if it means divorce, that is fine,
For love left alongtime ago, long before
I chose Muslim.
I found when I converted blessed is Allah,
The doctor's weren't acting like God,
They finally listened to me,
And discovered what was wrong.
For life I have to take medicines, as this clot,
Is worse then they first thought,
Something could have been done years ago but,
Was not, for in America if your poor,
They choose who has the right to life or not.
When I became Muslim I had earn the right to life,
To Me its a Birthday wish come true, despite how bad that day was,
My head is held high,
For they listen to me now,
I am what I am, believe me or not,
This is me, except me or not.
I am American Muslim...
