Twinkle and Shine
We exchange,
Witty repartee,
You always manage to
Light up my day,
Even when in anothers arms,
And ever so far away.
You shine like the sun,
Or at least a flashlight,
Warming up the whole world,
Illuminating the night.
Either way you glow,
And you add to my growing fluster,
With your warm and bright
Neverending luster.
I see something in my own eyes,
Not an ocean, just a sprinkle,
Not quite a shine,
More of a twinkle.
Plunged in neverending darkness,
Glittering like diamonds in the sky,
Or like the ones in your amber eyes.
Either way it wasn't there before,
And whenever you're around,
They seem to sparkle all the more,
Untile dull and maleable walks in,
Brining me suddenly back to the ground.
And I'm glistening,
Not glittering, with tears.
So if you keep shining,
I'll keep twinkling,
She'll keep on
inscesantly winking,
Ever dying,
My starry eyes
Keep trying,
But continue shooting out,
One at a time.
How long can we go on,
Before the sun begins to fade and pout,
How long can we go on,
Before the stars burn out?
