IF & WHEN

If you speak only things negative
If you never think on the positive
If you run to be a part of a fight
If you feel that hatred is right
If all you do is give pain
Then how can you say:
"In Jesus name!"

If you party at the club "every" night
If you drink away all of your plights
If you can't tell your truth from lies
If everything in life you despise
If you live sequestered from pride
Then how can you say:
"He'll provide!"

When you wake up with peace everyday
When you greet hate with a kind word to say
When compassion is the first thing you provide
When the love of God you just can't hide
Then you can finally look to Heaven and say:
"Lord thanks you for being the way!"

Behind The Poem: 

I am a Christian!  i do not hide that in my poetry.  It provides inspiration at the darkest times in my life.  If I did not have faith it would be impossible to be me. :)

Wow! Powerful message in this. I can tell God has been good to you it shows in all of your poetry. I come back here on this site and most of all to your page for my refill.... LOL ( hey we all need that in life, spiritually or not we need serenity and peace amongst one another).

Thank you.  I am not ashamed to write about faith and belief.  There is always a bit of it in everything I write.  I am happy you see that in my writing.  thank you again for reading.
