O’blue Bird

O’blue bird lift up my soul

from the depths of this shoal

and carry us home

where our soul mates do roam

for we have been lost at sea

for what now seems an eternity

so O’blue bird

its time for you to carry me

O’blue bird spread your long wings

and alow me to hear my Angel sing

of a time when we did meet

in the middle of a golden street

its been a year now

so please do show

the five thousand mile road

to our humble abode

O’blue bird flitter your pointy forked tail

and face me forward onto your own safe trail

it is about mating season for you and i both

so nothing can stop us from keeping our troth

onward we go to our loved one’s back home

keeping our promise to never leave them alone

standing on gods golden shore

waiting for us for ever more

You need a melody for this poem. I told you I can sounds as I read your poem... This one is not a rap though. Maybe a slow romantic tune... Nice work desi.

Elegant and creative.  You used strong imagery to paint a beautiful poem.   I truly enjoyed reading this poem.

your on point i wrote this for my girl she likes swallows and i thought what up with the swallow so i did a little research and put it out there they mate for life, they return to the same place to mate every year and when sailors seen them they new they was close to land. sailors would get one tattooed every 5000 nautical miles and a blue one when they crossed the equator. they believed if they drowned that the swallow would bring there soul from the depths of the sea and carry them to heaven. plus im a old freight train rider and they were like luck at bringing you home that why i always ware my black bandana and throw butt holes lol im a old gutter punk and got to show my love to the old so there very symbolic. thanks for the comment. and the read thats whats up
