I often wonder what it'd take

To make all the wrongs right?

I try to find sense in the hand I was dealt;

‘Tis like looking for answers on an empty page;

A lifetime of pain that never seems to cease;

An eternity of heart aches that never fade;

Forgive, I did long back;

I ask, How long would it take to heal?

What would it take to forget?

And just like that out of the blue;

It occurs to me, there is a way out;

Of course, there is!

One magical answer to one simple question

Holds the key to my tragedy!

He may never be mine, or I for that matter, his!

But nothing else could measure-up to

This emphatic win!

My question to him:

If today was the last day of your life,

Who'd you rather spend it with?
