My Race
So much pain engulfed in our hearts ,
The bullet holes leave our bodies so scared
And the knife, wounds in place of our dreams,
Life are not as simple as it seems.
You tried to put a stop to their tears,
Never caring for their meaning,
Never caring until you made it here,
That they were so afraid of dreaming.
Side by side two deep, dark, graves,
i'm just trying to score some prozac;
something to supplement the steroids
that never seemed to ease the pain.
my body never
tolerated
anything they gave me:
A silver point riding the red valley
Keeps you washing away with the tide.
Days go by and you're sitting there,
High,
Dry.
Skin paintless and your eyes
Cracked,
Wrists thin,
Arms spotted.
