Scrapping

Its time to go out scrapping, lets round up all our tools,
before we hit the road I will lay down necessary rules.
First of all make sure your gas tank is always nice and full,
chances are high you may run out which won't be very cool.
Keep your eyes open to many different areas we could choose,
Never procrastinate to grab something you could later lose.
Always try to get permission to take what belongs to another,
If that is not possible, be prepared to run as well as take cover.
Make sure your load is heavy, why bother if it does not pay,
Keep up the good work so jobs start appearing every day.
It truly amazing what people have laying in their yard,
Most of it is junk that leaves your house looking scarred.
However those with money don't care to know the price,
they just want it gone forever, without having to pay twice.
So in the end there are two good things actually taking place,
a yard gets cleaned, people get paid, scrapping has a new face.

Behind The Poem:
I live in an area where it's extremely hard to find work. So most of the men around here like to go out scrapping for metal and aluminium. After telling me what they experience scrapping, I came up with this poem.
