before i begin

Before i begin

Ancient sands shift with the passing of time
as vultures soar over this broken body of mine.
Lifeless eyes stop to bare witness
to a bizzare spectacle sprawled out before them
prostated in the dust.
my empty scream's ring hollow dissolving they rust.

death is close but i embrace his morbid choice
" ive lived my life!! with no shame or remorse"
the sun burns and taunts deep holes into my skin
burning its cruel image underneath my sin.

Then i remember i start to recall
other skins ive walked in before.
This curtain call
memories of horror,love,hatred
greed and pride.
All consume my hunger my reason to be alive.
