Empty Satisfaction

Quit searching for shiny objects and new soul mates.
Searching only makes us want something more then we really think;
then we end up settling for just enough
because we got exhausted in the pursuance and gave patients up.
Waiting and reticence is something most neglect
its like a curse to them,
something they despise and reject.
They try to drown out the quietness
with bottles, pills, and green
because they cant take what they're conscience renders and repeats.
One shot, one swallow,
more greed they think; will satisfy they're needs,
but all this only makes the soul grow more hallow and diseased.
