Heart's Tale
It's a sickening, dark pit,
With room for only one to fit.
Sucking dry your soul,
Leaving behind a bottomless hole.
But at the same time,
It is truly sublime.
Something from a fairy tale,
Tiny, weak, and frail.
The hatred was all a ruse,
Caused by the pain of misuse.
It's irrepairable damage,
And a lifetime of bondage.
But the tides are coming in,
Washing free the sin.
Stepping out of the night,
Awakening the inner light.
I'll break these chains,
Force blood through these veins.
Step right with life's dance,
And become one with romance.
