Mother Earth

Can you believe it?
A life time to achieve it.
A decision he made one day,
is the result to today.

Who will stop this, before it's too late?
More will top it, at this rate.
A decision she made,
is the result of today.
It's not really cryptic.

How do we keep the monsters at bay?
They are we, we are they.
Decisions we made
are a result of today.
We wont quit,
not even a little bit.

It's like we don't care.
Or we do care
About power and money
more than the air
What can we sell now?
What is it worth?
How much will you pay for this
and that piece of the earth?

We act as if we are it's owner,
We treat it like a possession,
But it's only ours as a loaner,
but hey...that's just my impression.
