My Treasure...

poetry picture

My heart is that of a buried treasure
It has washed up on the shores
It rests in your manly hands; caress it; as it pumps
Devotion mine to yours, as the blood flows
Dedication pouring out from the holes
Hold it near and dear
It’s beating faster than a drum

My heart is that of a buried treasure
Lost in the seas
Underneath the world up above
Cherish it, like it were gold
Speak to it, oh…sweet melodies
Lullabies my heart yearns
Tenderness it beholds

My heart is that of a buried treasure
Dive for it, hold your nose
It poses no threats
The cracks upon it, can be fixed
Treat it like a treasure chest
Hold the key, close to yours
With hopes of opening it
Does your key fit?
Try it, you never know!
My treasure to you, is my heart
Nothing more, nothing less
