A man that made history promised change/
but now and days, there taxin everything there takin all my change/
years keep passin by, and yet things are still the same/
the rich still exist, and the poor still left to hang/
there aint any work so the rock were forced to slang/
just a good enough reason for us to point the blame/
so mister president, i speak on behalf of all da ghetto's/
everyday we yell for help, and all were hearin is an echo,echo,echo/
so ya tryna bring peace to the countries overseas/ but the wars on our streets/ and theres hungry mouths to feed/ ex-cons with the right minds, and lives to proceed/ are still bein denied a fair shot to succeed/
yo see, these teens are still bein shot on our streets/ the blocks gettin hot, now add crooked cops to the scene/ im tryna find a way to wake up from this deam/ but it seems to be this livin nightmare never leaves.
