Rewind

I press rewind
And my mind seemed to unwind
And I would prophesize mental imagery
And broadcast words like some famous person had died
The state where I reside
Has me plastic and trapped in time
So to rewind
And bypass the time
When our lives collided
Would be my release from this sentence
I’m not talking verbs and nouns
This penitentiary
Has so seemly split me
And this Symmetry
Is negatively staggering to my identity
The two egos that create me wage war so frequently
That the wounds don’t have time to heal evenly
So then drastically
Every heart beat lacks harmony
So I press play
And my mind began to wind
At a rate that left my mental state insane
I needed a shrink to pick my brain
I could not retain simple memories
So they began to die to me
And recede from me
Like waters on a beach
And for me to reach
That point where I wish to be
O God guide me.
