Sad Girl

As she stares blankly out the window,
Outside the rain falls down quick,
Casting a lonely shadow.

Her tears fall down fast and strong,
Streaking her sad face,
And she knows what she's done wrong.

No one shall know the lies written on her face,
The betrayal she's executed,
How she's made a mess of this place.

She's turned her back on love,
Slipped inside herself,
Giving her conscience a smart shove.

All she wants is a place to belong,
Some where to call her own,
A way to end her sad song.

She sits in front of the window ringing her hands,
Waiting for someone to come along,
Someone who understands.

Her eyes are cold and soulless,
On the verge of catatonic,
Lost in her own loneliness.

She's on the outside looking in,
Stepping outside of herself,
Waiting for her life ot begin.

And it seems that no one cares,
No one seems to notice,
The emptiness that she bears.

As the rain continues ot fall down,
Mirroring the tears she cries,
She continues to live with no feeling wearing only a frown.

Wow nice, deep, emotional. I

Wow nice, deep, emotional. I think that we all bare a sort of burden like this sometimes, but while others can shake it off and move on, some of us are stuck with this lingering sorrow that overwhelms us. This poem has captured this feeling perfectly, while combining it with this waiting for the right guy or girl who can share the burden. Nice work. Lot's of respect!
