Thank You

I just want to get this off of my chest
because this matter has just had me so distressed
first let me start by saying thank you
thanks to all of the stupid people who
said I wouldn't ever write a rhyme
the people who hated my success all the time
and told me that i just wasn't good enough
and laughed every time i recited this stuff
the people who said poetry was gay
And I should kill myself, or just waste away
They didn't understand my determination
They thought they could cause unbidden consternation
but stupid ignorant people they are
who think that in life i won't get far
They sit on the corner smoking and blazing
while I accept awards for being amazing
and i look to my audience, flash smiles and waves
give thanks to the lord, for thats what He craves
Look at the haters in their bloodshot eyes and say
Thank You for making me the success I am today
