Whiskey Regret
It has been a year since we said good bye
Time creeps so slowly never on my side
I sit at home in my lonely room
Drapes closed tight mood set for gloom
But an hour before the sun goes down
I head again to the west side of town
And cry to another lonely sunset
I drown your memory in whiskey regret.
I recall your perfume which brings me down
Just another day I will wear my frown
A call from you is all I want in my ear
Silence lonely silence is all that I hear
Day is gone and the suns about down
I find myself alone on the west side of town
And cry to another lonely sunset
I drown your memory in whiskey regret.
How can one man be broken this low
When every little moment moves so slow
I feel cut deep but still I don’t bleed
Jack and Jim still can't replace my need
But as before the suns about down
Why am I here on the west side of town
And cry to another lonely sunset
I drown your memory in whiskey regret.
Another night ends bitter on my tongue
All of the sad songs I’ve already sung
I have no more tears left for you tonight
I dread the thought of a new day’s light
Another days end the suns finally down
No time left for the west side of town
I can’t seem to remember this last sunset
Even with the help from whiskey,it's you I can’t forget.
