Written Down
Tie this letter to a balloon,
Containing more than a melodic tune.
Humming in flight over the moon,
Words written under the summer sun in June.
Reaching its destination,
Stringed to hope wating for anitcipated penitration.
Shot down-manuvering aviation,
Landing in those hands of the next generation.
Scribbled down diction,
On the back of memories depiction.
Pictures of destiny's conviction,
A story of my addiction.
Invisible ink seeping into facial features,
Visuals becoming the teacher.
Words becoming the creatures,
Embodied by the dreamers.
Those hands hold the key,
Unlocking the map to my family tree.
Seeing what became of me,
And eventually setting me free.
So i sit under the summer sun,
Watching the kinds hop, skip, and run.
Taking pictures of the daily fun,
Hoping to take more of the future to come.
Passing down the memories,
For centuries.
