remember to forget her

no amnesia.

the teacher just speaks too fast.

the breeze through the window sneaks in when we want to feel relaxed.

our memory fades into sharp glass.

There's not much

that's not distorted, as such.

My mind, it changes things

giving them wings,

So it can be accepted.

What lasts?

They say that each time we recall something thedetails are slightly altered in some way. If repeated recall is always different, then are all  those memories we hold dear untrue? Are our memories real or just a grapevine of altered details?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am not talking about any form of memory disorder or disease, but our day to day healthy memories that make up who we are. Are they real? if not, what is?
