Short Story Poem

Renee Derry's picture

The mysterious boy: part 3

I keep the patch of fur with me
Days pass without another sign of him
I go looking for him
I walk through the dense woods
At first i can hear birds chirping
Crickets singing

The mysterious boy: part 2

Several days have passed since his escape
I havent seen any sign of him in that time
I'm wondering if i imagined him saying
That he'll return for me
I start pulling the feathers out of my hair

The mysterious boy: part 1

I sit under a shady tree with my best friend
Chatting, while she braids my hair
Mixing in feathers of all kinds and colors
Reds, blues, greys, blacks
Goose, Hawk, Crow, Raven

Midnight Encounter

There are times at night
When I think to myself
Why am I here
Sitting on my bed
When I could go outside
Under the stars
So I go outside
And walk out under the stars

little fly!

…..little fly, sonnet..

Little fly! Little fly!!
Flying up; in the high sky.
If not for science’s theory.
Man wouldn’t be able to fly.
But for you, little fly!

Lizard

He sits: green, ignorant;
This lizard cares not who
Sees him.
I pick him up, carry him.
He changes from lime to beige;
Vlosing his eyes, I fear he has perished.

I Saw Blood

I'm walking by the storage building in town,
I see something.
I don't see with my eyes,
But with my brain;
My brain that They say doesn't exist.

They thought I was crazy

Young love's mistake

Of breathing heavy,
And her heaving breast,
Of figure's so divine,
To which he would contest.

Of kissing in the twilight,
At first a simple peck,
First her lip's then her cheek,

Tumbleweeds

Turning in the wind breezing by
Amazed being that I saw you a mile away
Following no particular path
Blowing and growing into a dynamic mass
Past the time to disintegrate

Mercury Rising

King Cyrus,
Morning to
twilight I
can't remember.
A great light
Seen in the
darkness.
Chosen by
their choice
in voice,
words
cabillistic,
reveal the
future.
Spirit in
language
