Poems and Quotes by forrestmartin

Innertia

I've been longing to hear your voice.
Silence a massacre; an absence of noise.
I've been wishing to see your face.
Empty house; empty heart these days.

Clouds roll in, the dim sun sets.

Disease vs. Freedom

I've been losing sleep, for my eyes are like arrows.
My heart is the bow.
I am the target.
Losing my mind, my health, and my conscience.
Broken down, I look to the sky for answers.

The Wings, the Sea

As I grow old, I know what it is to fear.
My wings are frail, as they disintegrate to dust.
Subsequent to the cool wind on my skin,
My eyes never let their focus fall from the clouds.
