You are who you are

I am who I am

What if we were the only two?

What would you do?

Would we talk to keep loneliness at bay?

Maybe pride would overwhelm

Leaving you with nothing to say

You could feel afraid of such

But I would revel in such a day!

Afraid to feel me there the cage protects encasing

The heart you dare not share

Now only numbness felt unable to care!
