Your Hurt

Another day I spend with you,
and you don't seem yourself.
could there be something you're going through,
might this beautiful angel need help.
I ask if you're alright,
but your words differ from what your eyes bring to light.
You sit there attempting to lie,
pretending everything is fine.
But the truth comes out everytime you cry,
thinking I would ignore an obvious sign.
The pain in every tear,
the uneasyness of your very being.
You're hiding behind your fear,
and trying to keep me from seeing,
the hurt he causes within.
Preventing you from trusting other men.
I wish you would open up to me,
understand I want to erase your pain.
Replace the feeling of sad with happy,
and bring that beautiful smile upon your face again...

Behind The Poem:

Ever had someone you care about trying to front and hide the pain they had inside because of their significant other? You want to help, make them feel better but they try to shut you out...wonder how many can relate or have been through this...Respect

This is something that is relatable, a common theme that all your writes seem to have. The key in my experience is persistence and space. Continue to let them know they are cared for, but also give them time and space to decompress. Its a skill to pull this off and not make it look obvious.

Again, very indepth write. Keep em coming.
