I see a lake,
Or maybe it's a pond.
Shadows roam that scenery.
My careless heart blackened my eyes.
I am not fearful because of my lack of a heart.

The water is my weakness,

Something like fear lurks in me
Reaching for the knob but pulling away
Tingles pulsate through my fingers as they hesitate
This door of mine keeps me in
