Victory is Trusting

PrintPrint

I was merely an invisible light sent forth to ruin all destruction
And to swipe all tears that dare paint the faces of the innocent hearts.
Trust kept me from my own death.
War can be savage.

Freedom is never alive,
For it was killed in a costly battle.
Peace was crying when the clock did strike twelve,
But the crown was thrown off because of the poison that destroyed life.

I never learned how to break secrets
Or how to defeat evil that allowed poison to grasp the hearts of the people
If fear was determined to accomplish anything,
That goal would be to bite the king and lock royalty in

Anger completed the journey
The battle was never finished, nor won
Blood gushed through their fingers and between their toes
A pool was filled with death and decay

The evil possessed the dead souls who were scared
I was dying just like my Mama and Papa
Bravery is the hero of our journey
But love is the key to escaping the dungeon

Freedom never tasted like blood before
What happened to the springs that I once knew?
I let out a fearsome cry and I saw somebody's silhouette
My tears were gently vanishing as I felt a hand touch my face

The voice was still roaming through my head as I heard it say,
"Love is never accomplished before trying is shown.
Trust can die out or we can choose to take risks.
Anger and Hatred rule the world as Peace and Love hide in a dungeon."

Such wisdom let it be known who he was
I saw his deep, black hair flow with the wind
And his blue eyes were friends with the sea.
Weapons gathered in his hands were bravely shattering the pores of evil

Victory was near and we could taste it with hope
Lives were won and a new beginning has formed
Love is key to winning and that was my lesson
Freedom, now, tastes like the smiles that appear

Behind The Poem:

To give my audience some advice. You cannot win without being able to trust. Listen to someone with some experience. I am not able to trust and I have never even been in a relationship. Trust is key to success, which is why I always lose.
