Dear Heaven ( R.I.P. Uncle Reggie)

Dear heaven, Dear Lord
please take care of my Uncle now passed
the man who lived each day to its last
My uncle who was taken from us too soon
One of my biggest influences under the sun and the moon
His wisdom was my virtue and my law to live by
He taught me that even men shouldn't be afraid to cry
So my tears spill over every night
and I honor my uncle, he was my guiding light
It's hard to accept especially on my part
how death flew through the window and into his heart
And the weapon that death's head came from
was lying on the ground near where the car came from
And nobody has caught the bastards that did it
But the lord's court finds them guilty, and they won't be acquitted
In fact, the Lord delivers a damning sentence
Their souls will burn even after they submit to the ways of repentance
so I repeat this plea, Dear heaven, Dear Lord
My uncle Reggie taught me how to live and die by the sword
He said Knowledge is power, and courage is strength
And if you wanna do something, do so with length
Thinking first and acting comes after
And the best cure for anything, is a teaspoon of laughter
But i wish on my life that laughter healed hurt
because pain comes back when i look at his shirt
Dear heaven above, Dear my holy Lord
Bringer of life and death, comeuppance and reward
Please, please, keep me safe and up to pace
And make sure my Uncle Reggie is secure, in your heart,
And in a better place
