Monsters (The Seven Deadly Sins)

Monsters (The Seven Deadly Sins)
Monsters
A poem by....
Johnson
1035

There are monsters lurking all around;
Don't look for them, they can't be found;
Hiding in our heart not making ay sound,
But at the right moment they come around,
And at the right moment they shall abound.

Sometimes the monster's name is greed;
Appears without warning at lightning speed.
It is the first cousin to the demon seed
And you must go through it to proceed;
Hurting others, see them bleed.

Sometimes sloth is the monster's name;
There is no ambition, no inner flame.
No energy to play any game;
Reactions to everything are the same.
Laziness is it's middle name.

The monster gluttony who must have more
Is a very hard monster to ignore.
Can never get enough of what it had before
So keep on giving till you get sore.
Is anyone watching or keeping score?

The monster envy will turn you green;
Make you dirty and you'll never be clean;
Jealous of every little thing it's seen;
You're older but wish you were ay teen;
Nothing makes you happy in between.

Wrath is ay monster you can't ignore;
Blood boils hot; listen to its roar.
Ay blowhard to yell you out the door;
Look out for anger; get off the floor;
Anger boils over; bloodshed galore!!!

Another monster's name is lust;
Be careful for your misplaced trust;
Misguided lovers, the passion's a must;
Entwined hot bodies that must combust;
See the action, the groaning and thrust.

The King of monsters who's name is pride
Is in every heart deep down inside.
The root of all sins committed worldwide;
The King of mosters can't be denied;
The King of monsters who's name is pride.

Monsters who live in the human heart;
They are all mean but none are smart.
Pray they don't appear; pray they don't start
They can tear ay secure world apart.
The monsters can tear your world apart!!!
