one less teenage boy

BEFORE YOU READ THIS, I HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS REALLY HAPPENED TO A TEEAGE BOY IN CHICAGO.... READY?

Sometimes I wish the news on TV wasn't real
you hear about robberies and homicides... basically somebody is gettin killed.
after watchin’ it I feel like gettin on my knees to pray,
sayin ''Lord, please help us with the world today."
Some people don't stop to think about this one teenage boy,
His mom can still remember him playing with an action figure toy.
His name is Derrion,
His mind was so far gone,
His life was proven for success,
He wanted to be better than anybody would have guessed.
He was beaten in an all out street brawl,
His friends carried him off to the side and called,
"Derrion! Derrion! Answer me please!!"
It took about 45 minutes for the fighting to completely cease,
He went in to save a friend,
But unfortunately he died in the end.
