The Secret Garden (Collaboration, Mr. Mystic)

Title:  The Sacred Garden

(A romantic short story poem)

Intro.

The 'Sacred Garden' is a secret

meeting place between two lovers,

a young man and woman: Alim and

Makara.  Who share secrets, embrace and make promises of

undying love and loyalty; however,

Fate does not favor the pair and

their passionate defiance becomes

epic....

(Alim, alone in the Garden)

"Such a foolish man, I am,

gazing into these Nile waters,

hoping this passion isn't a scam;

only the damned would embrace

the Pharoah's daughter...

'But, how can I resist,

this beautiful Blue Lotus?

For my heart eagerly persists...

'Just the sound of her name,

drives this man insane;

Makara, my love...

'I am a wise man, indeed,

yet, as I stand amidst exotic

wisteria I see many hidden weeds..

(Makara enters the Garden, senses

Alim's dark doubts, and pleads

for their Love)

Makara welcomes the wind and catches the sight
of a lone butterfly. Fore, she envied its presence;
fanatastic in its appearance.

Indeed she would trade
places with the winged angel at this moment to
escape her mind laced with melancholy.....

"I am my father's daughter; yet, I can't wager
this pronounced passion to appease his controlling
house of mirrors.

I look upon the stars and shiver as they signal my forever denial.

Blindsided by this test of dominance
Alim, how could you question my heart?
It beats in rhythmic radiance communicating
with the gods and supplicating wonton
whispers delicate as a baby's breath
upon gossamer wings.

I would endure the cruelest punishment;
stoned, obliterated crushed until ever fiber
of my being is dissipated.....

The horror of knowing you have lost faith
in your Blue Lotus is unbearable,
let it be etched in history
that I stand firm, denounce my
family name and die a pauper millions of
miles away from my father's sacred
resting place amidst sand

O, how I detest this silence between us
I'm begging you say something Alim!

(Her hands clasped over her face her limbs giving way
reduced to rubble)

Alim embraces Makara, intense
emotional plea...

'Makara, royal daughter of Solar
Blood...I swear by Isis, no woman
has captured my heart as you,and
though I fear neither death nor
mortal demise; how can we enter
this Sacred Garden with passionate
abandon...as we've done thus far
with stealth, yet delude ourselves
into thinking we shall never be
found out?!

'The splendid Sihor sees us each
time we embrace and savor this
love, and likewise the Scarab has
witnessed our bliss...

'Is not the Falcon, your father's
winged messenger? Surely he must
know of these rendezvous...and al-
though he speaks not of this dark
affair, I am besieged by the black
clouds of his assured wrath!

'Makara, my delicate Dove...it is I
who shall be given a dreadful
judgement, and perhaps that makes me a coward...but if you
so desire to live your precious
days within these arms, then I
deplore you...Let us run away
henceforth upon a ship to Cyprus
or Tyre...we can sail the mighty
Mediterranean to Crete or seek
asylum in Arabia!  Why must we
remain here haunted by the
spectre of Seth?!

'Let us flee, not for our lives...but
rather for this love!'

Alim kneels before Makara, holding
her delicate hands, his eyes in
supplication.

(As Alim's hand greets Makara's her body goes limp)

O' my beloved I fear this fate not for mortal implications
but against resistance to change,
This desire to grow wings and take flight compels me
Save me, I beg of you! Fore, there is a war raging inside of me....

The complacency that accompanies my blood line pumps through my veins creating catharsis
It is so difficult to turn away from habit.
Yet an ocean's wave, even finest grain of sand
cannot compare to our shared evolution of
melancholy bliss

I bleed midnight
I die ruby and onyx
Consuming their beauty
Their boundless splendor
This confliction is temporary
As I take this step into love's legacy
accept your grace in generosity
What courage you bolster,
I find myself falling under your spell
yet again

(Alim embraces Makara and they speak to the skyline in unison; both looking forward to their future forever)
