alone with my reflection

Never have I felt more alone
Than in those few moments before I shattered that mirror
Looking through that haze of anger and pain I saw a man
Hiws fists were clenched
His teeth bared and his eyes alight with a blaze of fury
But strangely, there was something else in his eyes
A wild, primal looking sense deep within all of that fire
But as that fire gradually died down,
as the man began to look less and less wild
As he relaxed his hands and stared back at me
The wild, primal look in his eyes became more and more pronounced
It was fear, plain and simple
He was alone, just as I was
Alone, trapped behind this cracked mirror
His own personal escape-proof cell
And I was alone as he was alone
Alone together, two individuals expressing the same feeling
A terrible fear of being alone
But it wasn't two individuals
It was one person
Original and reflection staring at each other
Each one thinking the same thing
Each one believing the same idea
And each one scaredd of being alone
