Pockets Hurting

poem image

Never knew what she was aiming for
Blinded by beauty as she knocked at my door
Am I the one the blame not to adore
Now I know she deadlier than knives and swords

She was searching for gold
So I call her gold digger
Spending my money to try to get her
Now I see the bigger picture

Thinking about what I bought
This wasn't what I was taught
Love is something gained never asking for a cost
Nothing earned but something lost

I know u heard about the economy
And the troubles in our society
So why did u have to lie to me
You was to busy stealing my treasures and I was too blind to see

You can back to apologize for being a burden
And taking away your money and flirting
I'm letting you know that my pockets hurting
