Thanks
i can feel the sacred winds
resonating from days gone by
all the love i have known, and have lost
all the tears that were shed, and yet to be shed,
all the blood that was spewed spat and cast out.
the gifts that were given and then taken back,
the twice married underdog, the obscure Irish
American clown with the fragile soul of a poet, and for
years the gullet of a drunkard, with the mind of a
suicidal madman.
i have been blessed now and in the past, but something
always blocked my path to you, telling me that i was not worth
your love or your trouble. alas now i finally see at the threshold
of midlife, and am now slowly making my way back to you...
thanks for waiting.

Man I feel you on this poem
Man I feel you on this poem because I can relate to some of it. I'm glad you made through it and stronger, this is a good deep poem.
